Kelly Owens (LMHC)

Welcome! My name is Kelly and I am a licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, and a licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I have over 10 years experience working in the mental health field, and about 8 years of experience doing individual therapy. I went to college at the University at Buffalo, and then graduate school at Hofstra University. I have experience working in a variety of mental health settings, and I am well-versed in virtual teletherapy. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and complex trauma, as well as relationship/family issues, grief and loss, stress, and periods of transition. During sessions with me, you can expect warmth and support, compassion and understanding. It is my job to help understand your goals for therapy and to assist you in achieving them. My approach to counseling will be tailored to each individual based on their specific needs. I know it can be difficult to ask for help, so I will assist you in a non-judgmental way and hope to help you overcome barriers to achieve your goals. I look forward to working with you.
