Lisa McDermott (LCSW)

I’m Lisa and I’m excited to get to know you! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas with 16 years of professional work experience. I proudly earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin; Hook ’em Horns! I have experience in helping clients in areas including depression, anxiety, family conflict, trauma, and physical/emotional abuse. In addition, I have a passion for working with children and teenagers. I have a warm, gentle, and empathic therapy style. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. My extensive experience in working with diverse populations has helped me develop the empathy and knowledge that I have today. My approach is focused on humanistic therapy in order to help you with living your most fulfilling life. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage.
