Maevon Cody-MacKechnie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in the field. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Maine. With a diverse background, Maevon offers a unique perspective to her clients. She has worked for 10 years in Child Welfare services, providing support to adults, adolescents, and children in two different states. For the past decade, she has focused on intensive in-home therapy and outpatient therapy, specializing in working with adults. Maevon has extensive experience in crisis intervention, working with individuals in crisis as well as professionals in demanding fields such as medical staff, military personnel, and law enforcement. She is well-versed in various treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
