Mari Hoaglund

Mari Hoaglund is a Licensed Professional Therapist in Wisconsin with over 6 years of experience. She began her career working with adolescents and teens in a day treatment program at a behavioral health hospital. For the past three years, Mari has been serving clients of all ages with a wide range of mental health challenges, including depression and schizophrenia, at a clinic. She is passionate about helping individuals explore themselves and their past to gain insight into their future. Mari’s counseling style is warm and energetic, and she is known for being intuitive, straightforward, authentic, and down-to-earth. Clients appreciate her honesty, professionalism, sense of humor, and genuine concern for their well-being. Mari believes in taking action and often assigns “homework” to her clients to try out new strategies. She is committed to continuous learning and has attended trainings on topics such as Domestic Violence, Trauma Informed Care, motivational interviewing, and Ethics and Boundaries. Mari has also received extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and recently became certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). She stays up-to-date with the latest research and recommendations by reading and listening to podcasts, which allows her to recommend additional sources of growth for her clients
