We have all experienced unexpected challenges or major life stressors in our life. There are times when our lives become unraveled or seem unmanageable. My passion is to meet people’s needs during those times. My priority is to help people heal and fight to get back to their best self. My purpose is to help YOU understand that YOU are stronger than YOU think. My name is Nakisha Johnson and I have over 20 years of mental health and counseling experience. I am multi-state licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor at the national and state level. I have worked with clients in outpatient treatment, inpatient hospitalization, day treatment and school settings. I have been privileged to work with most all ages, sexes and culture groups from children to adults. I believe my exposure to the many diverse cultures as a military child paved the way for me to help facilitate positive change in others. My goal is to assist people at their most challenging states reach goals they felt were unachievable. “There is no greater power and support you can give someone than to look them in the eye, and with conviction say, ‘I believe in you.” -Ken Poirot
