Welcome! My name is Rebecca (Becky) Dries. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health in the state of Delaware. I received my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia (CACREP accredited program). During my time at Mercer I was an active member of the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International, Mu Upsilon Alpha Chapter. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). I have 5 years of clinical experience working with a diverse population of adult clients of all ages. I specialize in working with individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness diagnosis such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Personality Disorders as well as providing crisis intervention. I am also experienced in working with Depression, Anxiety, Complex Trauma and LGBTQ individuals. I am passionate about social justice issues and access to quality mental health treatment for all individuals, that is inclusive and multi-culturally informed. I approach the counseling relationship primarily from a Person-Centered perspective and believe in meeting the client where they are and accepting them unconditionally. Upon working with a client, I tailor my approach based on the client’s needs and incorporate elements of several therapeutic models including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy and Feminist Theory. I have also received training in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and Trauma Informed therapy. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
