Rheann Maxwell (LCSW)

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Tennessee with 4+ years of experience working in a psychiatric hospital as a therapist. My career began working on an inpatient unit with adults, specializing in substance use and co-occurring disorders where I provided brief, solution-focused therapy and used motivational interviewing to collaboratively develop treatment goals with clients. My current full-time position gives me the opportunity to provide group therapy to clients seeking treatment for substance use and mental health. I also have experience working with adult survivors of human trafficking through a local non-profit. My therapy style is laid back, warm, and collaborative. You are in charge, and I’m here to guide you to feeling more empowered. I believe identifying our values and faulty core beliefs are the foundation to success and healing. I also emphasize the importance of healthy self-esteem and will push you out of your comfort zone to learn to love yourself. I use evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
