Yazmine Howard

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois with a bachelor’s in sociology and Gender & Women’s Studies from University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana and master’s in social work from Loyola University Chicago. My 10 years of professional work experience includes crisis intervention for adolescents, young adults, and adults, substance abuse treatment, and inpatient individual and group therapy. As a therapist, I have worked with clients who have struggled with stress and anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, substance abuse, PTSD, family conflicts, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. My therapeutic treatment approaches include CDT, motivational interviewing, and other client centered approaches. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and rapport that is developed with each client to increase the outcomes of therapy. I want each client to utilize their own lived experiences to develop a better understanding of their purpose which will influence their quality of life which will aid in them reaching personal serenity.
